Ariakis' Neriak Home

This home was created at 3 Walk of the Dead for Ariakis. The dark elf inquisitor doesn't like clutter, flowers, frills, or too much "patternation." Overall this house needed a bold masculine "feel" - which was a hard frame of mind for me to maintain at times. But I have to say, it was refreshing to make a house without lillies in it!The house is sharply divided into two sections - the upstairs, which are the private living quarters, and the ground floor, which is intended for entertaining. Let's start with the upstairs.

Turning around and looking at the room divider towards the bathroom area.
The bathroom area.
And now to the next room, which is a combination master bedroom and garden. He wanted it clean and simple, with a Zen type feel. He wanted flowing lines in the garden and wanted it calming while keeping with the masculinity of the home.
Looking from the bed to the garden. Ariakis especially wanted a soothing water feature.
Now back downstairs. This is the entry hall as viewed from the door. Ariakis wanted his entrance room to be welcoming, yet exude an air of power and affluence. He wanted it to make the statement of the home but at the same time be suitable for formal entertaining.

When space is limited - a two story aquarium. A dragon fireplace in the entrance hall.
To the left is the lounge and kitchen for casual entertaining.
The bar area of the lounge.

The kitchen area of the lounge.

Leaving the lounge area and looking out into the entrance hall.
Next is the dining room. Ari envisioned a room where important deals could be worked on at the table in addition to eating, so this room needed to be impressive.
And downstairs is the "Reeducation Room." I didn't post any screenies of this area overall because I don't think my fellow inquisitor would like me giving out the secrets of his work. But I did feel free to show you one wall, which consists of an altar to Innoruuk. I always envisioned Ari having a huge altar to Inny and I really tried to embody that idea in this piece.

Heading upstairs...

This is my master bedroom and closet. I've made some changes and will be posting new pics soon. :)

This is my little garden retreat. Relaxing and refreshing with lots of plants and water and a comfy place to sit and take it all in!

Kitchen and a bit more of the house.

This is my kitchen and dining room. Table is small to help make it a bit more intimate. Food and wine are always at your elbow and ready to be partaken of!

Library and music room- drums, wind chimes, mandolins, piano, and harps. Ready for a Norrathian Concert!

This is my downstairs bar and the pool table and card tables. An open, comfy room to hang out and relax in! (Will be adding a hot tub soon... will update photos then!)

My altar (with a Breath of Vox faction item sunk into it) and a glowy blue fireplace. You'll notice I'm a sucker for glowy and shiny things!

My work room for carpenter and weaponsmith to use.

Erondis' Stronghold

These pics are out of order due to the difficulty I have working with this blog setup. My blogging skills aren't very skilled. But I wanted to get these pics posted and I'll put the rest up when I get home and have access to updated shots.

Fireplace Freak

This is a post of some fireplaces I made on Venekor from when the game went live until late 2006.

My very first attempt at decorating. Haide's Castleview Inn room.

Living room fireplace made for Friarr. Here I was trying for a dramatic look with lots of shadow play for a High Elf.

Bedroom fireplace made for Friarr.

Living room fireplace made for Raeyzej.

Bedroom fireplace made for Tukk.

A blue fireplace made for Tukk. Though I wasn't crazy about the bearskin rug, Tukk the dwarf was ecstatic with it!

My interpretation of a Dwarven fireplace for Tukk.
